Islam and the Role of the Shepherd
In December 2015 the folks at Omaha’s Global Faith Institute (GFI) asked me to respond to an article about Islam that was published in the Omaha Catholic Voice. The article had been written by Father Ron Rolheiser, and, as is unfortunately all too common among Western Christian leaders (both Catholic and Protestant), it presented completely inaccurate information about Islam.
Pastors and priests are called upon to be good shepherds to their flock. Please take the time to read both Father Rolheiser’s article and my response. And then think about the role of your own pastors and priests when it comes to Islam. Are they being good shepherds?
